Meet the Speakers
George Brookman
George Brookman is a well known Calgary businessman, and community activist. His passion for this community is well known.
He is the major shareholder of WCD Digital Imaging and served as a Calgary Stampede volunteer for forty-four years, serving as President and Chairman of the Board in 2007-2008.
George has served on a number of local volunteer boards, corporate boards and on unique projects like the Calgary Stampede Public Art Committee.
George is a contributor as a columnist to the Calgary Herald, holds Honorary Degrees in Law and Applied Technology from Mount Royal University and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (S.A.I.T.). He is an active member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
In 2019 he was honoured to receive an Order of Canada.

Paul Van Ginkel
Calgarian Paul Van Ginkel has been a full-time fine artist for 42 years. With over 2200 paintings created so far in his career his work can be found in private and corporate collections around the world. Paul has a long history with the Calgary Stampede – his first painting in the auction was in 1986, his first exhibition in the Western Showcase was in 1991 (2025 represented his 22 show), he painted the 2007 Stampede poster and to help commemorate 100 years of chuckwagon racing at the Stampede he was commissioned to create a 16 by 28 foot mural.

Kamran Dadi
Kamran Dadi is Curatorial Specialist at Sam Centre, where he helps bring the stories of the Calgary Stampede and the city’s culture to life. Kamran studied history at the University of Calgary and is passionate about creating engaging exhibitions and experiences that invite visitors to connect with Western heritage.
